What the San Francisco startup map shows
- Startups and scaleups, placed at their offices and filterable by what they build.
- Venture capital firms and accelerators, so you can see who sits near whom.
- Big-tech campuses and landmarks that anchor each neighborhood.
- Coworking spaces and cafes where founders actually work.
- Hacker houses, shown at neighborhood level only, to respect the people who live in them.
- Walking routes that link a day of meetings into one loop.
Where San Francisco startups cluster
The densest pockets are SoMa, the Financial District (FiDi), the Mission, Mission Bay, Dogpatch and Hayes Valley. The map is built around these blocks first, because the point of a startup map is knowing which door is a five-minute walk from the next.
Who it is for
Founders landing in the city for the first time, investors planning a day of meetings, recruiters mapping where talent works, and anyone who just moved to the Bay and wants to know the block by lunch.
