Opening soon

The SF startup
ecosystem, mapped.

An ecosystem is more than company logos. It is the accelerators that feed it, the coworking spaces that house it, the funds that back it and the neighborhoods that hold it together. SF Tech Map maps all of it.

You're in. See you in the Bay.

We'll email the day the map opens.

The pieces of the ecosystem

  • Startups and scaleups: the companies themselves.
  • Venture capital firms: who funds them, and where they sit.
  • Accelerators and incubators: where early teams get started.
  • Coworking spaces and cafes: where the work actually happens.
  • Hacker houses: shown at neighborhood level only, never as street addresses.
  • Events and meetups: a weekly view of what is happening this week.

Connected, not just listed

The useful part of an ecosystem map is the connections: which accelerator is a walk from which coworking space, which funds sit near which founders. SF Tech Map shows relationships through geography and walking routes.

A public dataset

SF Tech Map is being built so the data behind the map is open: the same dataset will be available through a public API, so other builders can use it too.
