Getting around
SF Tech Week.

During tech conference weeks the city fills up with events spread across a dozen neighborhoods. SF Tech Map is designed for exactly that moment: land in San Francisco, find your bearings, and walk from one event to the next. We are an independent project and are not affiliated with any conference organizer.

Get oriented fast

Most event weeks center on a few areas, and knowing the geography saves hours:

SoMa and Market Street

The core corridor for startups and venues, close to Powell, Montgomery and Embarcadero BART and Muni Metro stations.

Financial District and the Ferry Building

Walkable from Embarcadero station, with venture firms and larger offices.

The Mission

A BART ride or a Muni hop from downtown, with a lively startup and event scene.

Mission Bay and Dogpatch

Reachable by the T Third Muni line and a short ride from Caltrain at 4th and King.

Move between events

  • Walk when you can: much of SoMa and the Financial District is a short, flat-ish stroll.
  • BART runs under Market Street and Muni Metro shares those downtown stations.
  • Caltrain serves the Peninsula and Silicon Valley from 4th and King.
  • The ferry from the Ferry Building crosses the bay to the East Bay and Marin.
